our mission
Grand Teton National Park Foundation provides private financial support for special
projects that enhance and protect Grand Teton National Park's treasured resources. Since 2004, our organization
has given more than $25 million to the park for education-based capital projects, work and learn programs that
reconnect youth to nature, and wildilfe research and protection.
By funding initiatives that go beyond what the National Park Service could accomplish on its
own, Foundation friends solve park challenges and create a solid future for Grand Teton.

the white house initiative on america's great outdoors
On April 16, 2010, the Foundation and 499 representatives from leading conservation
organizations convened in Washington, DC for President Obama's launch of a
21st Century Strategy for America's Great Outdoors. The event focused on innovative ideas and real
solutions that are protecting the nation's greatest places and reconnecting families
to nature. Now, the White House has asked participants to reach out and discuss
amazing efforts, large and small, that are improving diverse landscapes with the hope
of engaging 50 million people across the country.
the goal
To rally support for the many on-the-ground programs that are addressing issues facing
protected lands before we lose touch with the places and proud traditions that have made
America great.
